The first official press conference for China Open 2010 held in
On April 15, 2010, the first official press conference for China Open was held in the Convention & Exhibition Center of Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing, which announced the official opening of China Open hotline 400-707-6666, and official kickoff of Kappa-CRT (China Open Rating Tour) and China Open Campus Tour, initiating the promotion of China Open 2010.
Kappa-CRT new season kicked off to offer fans a tennis carnival
Kappa-CRT is the first and only national tennis rating tournament over the country, and open to all tennis lovers worldwide. The event attracted 7,200 players when it was held for the first time last year. In the new season, CRT will join hands with Kappa Group as title sponsor, which advocates the concept of “sharing the joy of sports”, to promote the tennis sport along with China Open.
Like last year, Kappa-CRT in the 2010 season will take place in six regions nationwide in spring, summer and autumn in succession. After fierce competition, top-ranked players in different events of different levels in each region will compete for the national championship at the National Tennis Center, the venue of China Open, in October. This year’s event will introduce more entertainment elements. China Open will launch ball boy selection nationwide. Three qualified ball boys will be selected to provide “personal services” for super stars during China Open. Young tennis amateurs aged 12-17 can now log on the official website of CRT www.crttennis.com to sign up for application. The organizing committee will also launch the “China Open Tennis Couples Collective Wedding Ceremony Recruiting” event. Tennis couples are expected to hold a collective wedding ceremony in the court witnessed by tennis stars. The China Open Fashion Team and the China Open Stars Team led by Zhang Yabin, Chairman of China Open Promotions Limited, will also participate in the Beijing Stop of Kappa-CRT.
Many Kappa-CRT “amateur stars” appeared in the 2009 season, among whom some champions from the North China Region were also present at the press conference and signed their names on the special tennis shirts to bless the China Open and CRT. Clothes for Kappa-CRT are provided by title sponsor Kappa. Peng Liming, Chinese famous calligrapher, inscribed “China Open and Me Fly with Pride”, the slogan for Kappa-CRT, on the clothes on site.
China Open Campus Tour officially launched and Campus Fans Team to receive application soon
The organizing committee also announced the official start of the large-sized campus tour themed “Dance and Smile with China Open” at the press conference, triggering a tennis upsurge in more than ten key universities across the country, including Tsinghua University, Communication University of China and Beijing Sport University. Meanwhile, the “China Open Volunteers Recruitment” event and the “China Open Cheering Squad” event were also launched. The China Open Campus Tour 2010 will also organize the “Tennis Carnival” and organize the “Campus Fans Team” for the first time to assemble all campus tennis fans. University students can sign up to be volunteers for China Open to directly serve the event, or join the China Open Cheering Squad or China Open Fashion Team to play their role. China Open 2010 will organize the “Campus Fans Team” for the first time. Tennis fans can sign up on the even site to realize the dream of watching tennis games on site.
The China Open Campus Tour has also prepared funny games and rich awards for students, and hold workshops on the site of the training camp. The event has been favored by university students and recognized by the university officials in charge of students’ activities.
Patrons celebrate opening of China Open hotline
To reward fans, China Open has especially invited patrons who have bought China Open tickets for many consecutive years to the site of the press conference, and offered them gifts and priority to select tickets. These patrons said they would continue supporting China Open, and wished the event would achieve greater success as well as a good ticket office.
To help domestic and overseas tennis fans better understand the ticket dynamics and event information, China Open officially opened China Open hotline 400-707-6666 on April 4, 2010. Tennis fans can now inquire ticket information via this channel, and dial this hotline to book tickets and acquire relevant event information from April 29. In addition, the China Open hotline has also launched the “Ticket & Treasure – Hotline” event. Participants will have an opportunity to win tickets to China Open finals provided by China Open or fine gifts provided by the sponsor.
