Linda Noskova made everything look easy in a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Elena-Gabriela Ruse in her second-round match on Day 4 at the China Open.
The 21-year-old Noskova was a runner-up last year and is looking to take her Beijing journey one step more this year. Dominic Achille caught up with Linda following her win on Friday.

Where do you keep your Wimbledon trophy?
“It is right next to my TV. Every time I come to the living room, I watch TV, and it’s right beside that.”
What should a person’s travel itinerary look like when visiting Czechia?
“I feel like everybody should visit Prague at least once, especially around Christmas time.”
Is there any part of you that wishes you had a more traditional, university life of a normal 21-year-old?
“I never really thought that. I never really saw myself going that way. I know a lot of my fellow tennis friends chose that way, and all of them are really happy. I’m happy for them, but that was not really my path.”
What are you most excited about trying in Beijing?
“Well, I love boba tea, and I love boba. I heard there’s a lot of great places down here. My go-to order is Brown sugar, espresso, with tapioca.”
What is your hype song before playing a match?
“I cannot listen to any music before my matches. I am locked in without music. I know I would just play the song over and over in my head when I’m on the court.”
