Bouzkova, Sorribes Tormo win first WTA 1000 doubles title in Beijing

The final day of the 2023 China Open saw the winners of the women’s doubles, the ITF singles champions for both men and women were also decided.

In the women’s doubles final, Marie Bouzkova and Sara Sorribes Tormo  came back from a set down to defeat Hao-Ching Chan and Giuliana Olmos 3-6 6-0 10-4. This is their second title as a team and their first WTA 1000 doubles title.

In the ITF men’s singles final, No.7 seed Viktor Frydrych received a retirement gift from No.8 seed Benjamin Gusic Wan when the score was 4-6 5-2, crowning the men’s singles champion. In the ITF women’s singles final, No.2 seed Mengjie Xu swept top seed Laura Samsonova 6-2 6-4 to claim the women’s singles title.
