No. 26 seed Linda Noskova reacts emotionally after winning match point against No. 6 seed Jessica Pegula in the semifinals on Saturday, Oct. 4. The 20-year-old Czech saved three match points to win 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(6) and advance to her first WTA 1000 final.
No. 3 seed Coco Gauff returns against Kamilla Rakhimova during her second round match on Friday, Sept. 26. Gauff won the match 6-4, 6-0 and progressed three more rounds to the semifinals, falling to fellow American Amanda Anisimova.
No. 7 seed Zheng Qinwen blows a kiss to the Diamond Court crowd after winning 6-3, 6-2 against Emiliana Arango in the second round on Saturday, Sept. 27. Zheng’s return to the court after undergoing elbow surgery in July ignited Chinese audiences, who packed out the stands for her matches. Zheng retired from the third round against Linda Noskova.
No. 16 seed Emma Navarro plays a backhand against No. 1 seed Iga Swiatek in the Round of 16 on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Navarro won the match 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 and advanced to the quarterfinals, where she was defeated by Jessica Pegula.

No. 4 seed Mirra Andreeva follows through on a shot during her third round match against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro on Monday, Sept. 29. 18-year-old Andreeva defeated the Spaniard 6-4, 6-1 and advanced to the Round of 16, where she lost to Sonay Kartal.
